Hi! I’m a Black trans (they/them) writer and teaching artist from North Carolina. I received an M.F.A. from the University of Kentucky where I was a recipient of the 2018 Nikky Finney Fellowship.

I have have received scholarships and fellowships from Bread Loaf, Tin House, Community of Writers, Periplus Mentorship Collective, Kimbilio for Black Fiction, Lambda Literary, and more.

My fiction can be found in the Anthology of Appalachian Writers Volume 12, the 2023 Emerge Anthology, The Greensboro Review (forthcoming 2026), Story Magazine, and I have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

I’m the co-founder of the Backyard Writing Revival, teach writing workshops, and I’m completing a postgraduate program in teaching creative writing with the University of Cambridge.
